Personal Contamination Monitors LB145 and LB146
The LB145 and LB146 Personal Contamination Monitors are a new line of instruments, based on a very high level of detector technology and controlled by an industrial computer. They provide the means to further improve the safety and reliability of contamination checks in radionuclide laboratories and nuclear installations in general.
Available in two versions, the beta-gamma LB145 and the alpha-beta LB146, these new monitors offer the following advantages:

The approach of offering beta-gamma and alpha-beta versions allows optimum measurement. The beta-gamma LB145 uses Xenon-filled proportional detectors, and the alpha-beta LB146 uses gas-flow detectors. The high counting efficiency of the new design Xenon probes for low-energy gammas and x-rays makes the LB145 particularly useful for use in Nuclear Medicine. The LB146 assesses alpha and beta contamination simultaneously. An electronically controlled gas flow valve system minimizes gas consumption.
| Additional detectors extend the application range. Moving back-of-hand probes are optional for both versions. Controlled by the user, they adapt themselves to different hand sizes, thereby optimizing counting efficiency, particularly for alpha measurement. A removeable clothing probe is also available. |
