Radiometric density measuring systems are used to control the bulk density of clinker
after cooling. As there is a correlation between density and free lime, the signal is used
to optimize the burner.InstallationThe installation site should be after the cooler to obtain a more precise measurement of the degree of burning. The clinker fills up the volume above the valve. Easy installation on conveyor e.g. 500 - 650 - 800 -1000 mm
Radiometric level switches are used to detect the filling of clinker on cyclones and cooler.
The installation of detector and shielding should be outside the walls. To obtain a minimum activity of the source a pipe DN 50 is inserted into the wall. The clinker fills up the cyclones or the cooler with automatic level alarm. Click here for more information on Berthold level switches.

During the cycle "opening valve and refilling measuring tube" the last density value will be stored until the new measurement cycle is started. Input STOP - MEASURE into the evaluation unit from the valve control signal.
